MOUNTAIN BIKING: Trace State Park

← TN FLETCHER CREEK SYCAMORE VIEW ROAD AT MEMPHIS Single Tracks →

Description

There are three separate trail areas within the park. The largest trail area is mult-use for motorcycles, mtb, and horse use and probably contains at least 30 miles. There is an mtb only trail of about 10 miles, and an mtb/horse trail (which horse riders have never used) of about seven miles. There is a map of the multi-use trail available at front gate which identifies trails by number.
Bike only trail is seldom used and poorly marked except for a two mile beginner segment which travels beside lake.

None of the trails get heavy use and the multi-use trail has a huge variety of terrain and is a lot of fun for an experienced rider. You need to be willing to go out and experiment and learn the trails. You can use the map for location but finding a fun ride requires spending some time out there. Incredible trail system but best if you can ride with someone who knows the trails.
